Using a scope can be a challenge but with practice it can the most useful tool in a set. On newer model cars, diagnosis is only becoming more complicated. With the combination of the scope and the knowledge of waveform readings, even the hardest issues can be fixed in a fast and efficient matter. A scope can even be used to find a cylinder misfire, a failing fuel pump or even a vibration. Always keep in mind to use proper procedure as well as service information to aid your diagnostics.
